Sculptra is designed to work in a gradual way through a series of treatments. To create a naturally refines appearance, it recommends for an average of 3 treatments that are spaces 4-6 weeks apart.
As Sculptra is free from human and animal ingredients, it is not requires to have an allergy test prior to treatment.
Prior to use, Sculptra should be reconstitutes with 5ml of water for at least 2 hours. Sculptra is then injects into the deep dermal layer or subcutaneous layer, using a 26G needle and the cross-hatch technique.
Safety Measures
It is important to take note of the advice leaflet that accompanies Sculptra. For example:
- Sculptra should never be injects directly into the lips
- Wrinkles should not be overfills, as the treatment will slowly improve over several weeks after the injection.
- Sculptra is for deep dermis administration and special care should take with patients who naturally have thin skin.
- This is one of the only non-hyaluronic acid fillers that recommends for use.
Sculptra Versus Juvederm Voluma
This has very similar results to Juvederm Voluma. Whilst, Juvederm Voluma instantly corrects volume in the face, Sculptra is more gradual and requires more than one treatment. Three treatments of Sculptra usually equate to roughly the same price as one Juvederm Voluma treatment; the main difference is how quickly results appear and whether you want to spread the cost of your treatments.
Some patients find it more affordable to opt for the gradual Sculptra treatments, whereas others prefer to pay for Juvederm Voluma in one go and receive the results straight away.

It should store at temperatures up to 30℃. After reconstitution, it can be store for up to 72 hours at refrigeration (2-8℃) or room temperature up to 30℃. Do not freeze.
